15 miles South along the coast from St. Andrews
A small, traditional
fishing village within the East Neuk. Seemingly
untouched by time, the traditions of the old East
Neuk fishermen live on in this untainted part of
Scotland. Situated on the Firth of Forth, originally
Crail and other such villages in the area provided
Scotland with vital sea ports for trade with the
low countries. The village now offers a peaceful
and unhurried lifestyle within a picturesque environment
which has attracted artists since Victorian times,
and boasts one of the most photographed harbours
in Scotland. It also claims the distinction of having
the 7th oldest golf club in the world.
Most of our properties in Crail are within walking
distance of the village, meaning you can easily
walk to the shore, coastal path and Crail beaches.
Most have sea views and offer a more relaxed pace
of holiday, however there is plenty to do for the
more adventurous.
